This AUv3 compatible audio effect functions as a plugin in popular DAWs like Cubasis, Meteor, Auria, and GarageBand. Its interface is designed with a modern aesthetic and features presets with stereo meters for monitoring signal levels.
The audio shredder processes incoming audio, typically strings or sustained chords, by breaking them into smaller fragments, applying an envelope, and filtering them as desired. The outcome is a gated staccato effect that can be molded into rhythmic patterns or quarter note sequences prevalent in genres such as Trance, Dubstep, Hip Hop, and other contemporary electronic music styles. It offers independent control over the left and right stereo channels, allowing adjustment of pulse width, attack, and release.
With four different filter types available (Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass, and Notch), users can set the cutoff frequency and resonance independently. For added complexity and textured soundscapes, the option to randomize settings at every step is provided.
Each quarter note can be triggered individually or strung together to form longer passages. Complete parameter automation is supported along with automatic synchronization to the master tempo.
This plugin is part of a collection of AUv3 compatible plugins that will be released by 4Pockets in the near future.
